About Remed
Remed’s first moves into the art world date back to 1995, when he discovered the art of painting inside a atelier in Lille France. For a long time he worked solely inside, taking refuge in the privacy and quietness of his room or studio. After due time, his desire to share and show his work led him to work on the streets, and this is most likely where you have encountered one of his many murals. With simple yet effective shapes and composition Remed draws you into his work, to introduce you to his emotions, feelings and evolution of thoughts. As Remed says it best himself: “I live what I feel, I paint what I live”

A little word by Remed
“It is always good to go away from the blinding city, to get back in touch with nature, to reconnect with your roots before creating realms. On my way to the valley, I could see the surrounding mountains appearing. Most of them scarred with caves everywhere on the sides. Thousands of them. My mind automatically pictured rock art, symbols painted on the cave walls, and the ability to capture a remaining sense of the people resting in it. I wanted to go and enter some of those doors to find my own treasure, whatever it would be.
While exploring the valley, I went up to the highest point of the island one day and walked down through the forest again. It was amazing, I was alone all the way with only the bees and birds owing in luscious greenness. On the central beach of La Gomera, there is a sculpture of an aboriginal man standing facing the ocean. In one hand he holds a spear pointing down. In the other hand grows what could be a flower or a shell. Under his watchful eye, I swam in the ocean, rested on the beach, and contemplated. At the edge of the bay, the line of horizon starts to bend. And ultimately the shade of the night sky becomes a dome. I was filled with a timeless feeling. Endless horizons all around me.”

The last few days I took full time to explore on my own, it is great. There is no one here, only nature.
